So Nikita and Chirag wanted their dream wedding,
They wanted a Kashi themed wedding that would not only look majestic but would make them feel spiritually connected to the ceremony. We know Varanasi is a the spiritual capital of India and they wanted the Kashi vibe in Udaipur.
THE WEDDING DESIGNERS helped them turn their dream wedding into reality. They decided to use the shades of Maroon, Blush, cream with burnished gold to give the royal Banaras feel to the wedding.
Gold ribbon installation art- for the walkway, which was created by 20 Karigars in 24 hours using 140 feet of gota ribbon. It looked grand and made the bride and groom feel grand.
The groom entered royally on an elephant while the bride entered traditionally with her father under the phoolon ki chaadar.
The Mandap was the main attraction of the lovely wedding. 4 water bodies created inside the venue using 40,000 litres of water with large scale aarti stands were created around the mandap to give a feeling of the city of Kashi. The layout of the event was inspired by a Mandaala which is a spiritual and ritual symbol in Hinduism representing the universe.
There was an amphitheater seating on either side of the mandap to give an old world charm of Benaras.
You know how flowers light up the place? They used Indian tuberoses and gulabs with lots of candles to give a golden glow to the beautiful venue. It not only made the venue look pretty, but truly made them believe that they were getting married in Kashi. Now who doesn’t want that!
How can a Kashi themed wedding be complete without the Aarti? Varanasi pandits performed the Ganga aarti, instrumental troupe of tabla, flute and sitar to make their souls feel connected during the ceremony.
Yes it was a magical journey created especially for Nikita and Chirag the way they wanted it. Their happily ever after just started!
Ps-The water wasn’t wasted, it was sent back to the lake.
