Rocking Bollywood Songs For Sangeet To Get Your Guests Grooving

Ladies’ Sangeet is the ceremony where the bride is showered with lots of love and attention by all her relatives and friends. It is a ceremony that takes place a night before the D-Day, so it has to be rocking at any cost. It offers a perfect balance between fun and emotions as the families of the bride and groom are at complete ease here.

Ladies’ Sangeet is also considered the best part of the wedding by a lot of people! Why? Because it gives all the attendees a chance to put on their dancing shoes – apart from applying mehendi and binging on delicious sweets.

So basically – what matters the most on this night is that everyone has good fun! And how do you make sure that it happens? By preparing a playlist of songs that brings down the roof!

Here’s our list of Bollywood songs – yes, Bollywood – that would definitely get everyone, including the aunt with weak knees and the one with two left foot shaking and grooving. We know you will like these songs:

1. Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan

If you are looking for a “girls only” dance song then look no further. This Jacqueline Fernandez-starrer song has all the oomph. It is not outright sexy and would be safe for family audience too! By the way, we saw some videos where guys had slayed this song too – so both guys and girls can perform “dhinchak” steps together! What say?

2. Baby Doll

This song may sound bold but it isn’t. Baby Doll is unofficially considered the anthem for Ladies’ Sangeets. When it was first released, no one knew it would become such a hit. And this is not because of Sunny Leone – by the way.

The tune, the beats and the lyrics gelled well to create an awesome Hindi track! It successfully and smoothly made its transition  from the dance floors of pubs to Sangeet ceremonies. We aren’t complaining at all!

3. Kala Chashma

Though this is an old song, Kala Chashma is being brought back to being a hot number – all thanks to the sizzling presence of Katrina Kaif and Siddharth Malhotra. We wouldn’t be surprised if it beats some other popular Bollywood songs to make it to the top of the Ladies’ sangeet playlist. What do you think?

4. Tune Maari Entriyaan

This song is contagious. And it is not because of Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor or Priyanka Chopra, but because it hits the right playful notes. Right from the opening beat till the last one, this song never drops on the energy level. And this track would be a perfect tribute performance song from a groom to his bride. We can’t stop dreaming…

5. London Thumakda

We wouldn’t be surprised to know if this song has already won the “Sangeet song of the year” award. An extremely popular and peppy number, the Kangana Ranaut-starrer is perfect for anyone who has milk teeth to beer belly to perform on a Sangeet night. The best part is you don’t need to learn any steps for this song. You just need to be able to have fun. And that shouldn’t be a problem, right?

6. Lungi Dance

This is another song that is liked by people of all age groups and fits within all cultures too. If you want to just lift the steps directly from the video, then this song is the best as SRK and Deepika Padukone absolutely killed it with their steps. And who doesn’t like to dance on Rajni song?

7. Balam Pichkari

It would be a cardinal sin if we didn’t include this song in our list. Crazy energy, desi vibes and a thumping beat make sure that this makes it to every playlist for every occasion. Ladies’ Sangeet? Even more so! Even though the theme of the song is seasonal, its beats are clearly not. So don’t hesitate to pack a few “thumkas” on this powerful number.

We are sure there are so many songs you can do on. Which one is your all-time Ladies’ Sangeet song? Let us know – we are all ears! Happy Dancing!!
